When I first saw Josh Middleton’s work in a Wizard magazine for his gig as the cover artist on New Mutants, I was in awe. From that point on, his work has always been a big influence on mine.
Just like Skottie’s work, his art in NYX was really eye opening, not only because of how great it looked, but that it was different than the big burly muscle men that Jim Lee and Michael Turner were turning out at the time.
Anyways, here is my tribute to Josh and his art, I did one for Skottie below, both great and I had the chance to meet them both at SDCC a couple years back, terrific guys. It took about 30 minutes to whip this together. Enjoy!
[Edit] Looking back at the image, Kiden’s waist is really long. I’ll do up another picture later on tonight or tomorrow and post it up.
