An illustration assignment for a class at school.  It’s a poster for my 4th year film “M” (working title) and it features Matilda. I vaguely tried to hint at a story even if it’s not readily apparent.  This was all drawn in Photoshop and rather quickly, about 5 hours on and off when all is said and done.  There are some weak areas in the anatomy, so please ignore them.  Anyways, back to work; enjoy!

Just some designs/color tests I did for my group film.  I should probably scan the exploration sketches too, but that will have to be for another time.  Thanks and enjoy.

Some friends and I have a blog that we try to update as much as possible; but with looming deadlines, it’s not always feasible.

The idea is to be inspired from a random book quote and illustrate what comes to mind first; then the artist uses there camera to grab a macro shot to what will later be the character’s stage.

It’s an interesting concept and produces some imaginative results. Be sure to check it out here!

A warmup painting of sorts for a project I am working on.  The painting technique was inspired from a painting James Jean did; I tried to give it my own twist, but I don’t think that was successful.

One day I hope to finish it traditionally, but for now, the acrylic/digital hybrid will do, enjoy!

A while back I posted a Cloud Lady and her Writer (here) from our third year group film. After a lot of changes over a few months – we finally have this, a Boy and his Cloud.  I tried mirroring the old illustration / piece to this new one, not sure how successful it was but regardless, enjoy!

Busy busy times. The final cover to Forgetless, featuring Sara and the guy in a koala suit. Traditionally painted with some digital enhancements. The original painting is 16″ x 24″ or something along those lines.

I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, it being my first time working with acrylic washes over a gloss medium. The toughest part was scanning and stitching this together in Photoshop. Anyways, Enjoy!
